To those of you who are fathers, Happy Fathers Day!
Here at my house, it is just another day. Packing, cleaning and repairing. We don't celebrate Valentines day and this was our first year of ignoring mothers day too. I have to tell you, it is a relief! Just another day in Dragon's house. No fake cheer or false celebrating.
Breakfast and dinner as usual. Life goes on.

ReplyDeleteA gift on a day of mandatory gifts does not mean as much as one given just because. No ugly ties or stinky aftershave. Opportunities to show love and appreciation happen every day.
DeleteI did cook breakfast this morning :)Dragon normally does most of the cooking.
I know many who feel the same way about Valentine's Day. Hallmark likely made all this stuff up. Lol. Hope you and your family enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteWe have lived far away from family most of our marriage. Just us and the kids. It is going to be strange living close to them again. I'm not sure how a family get together would go after so many years. Yikes
