Bloggers

4 blogs I follow are inactive. The authors walked away without saying goodbye. They have a few more months on my list before I will delete them. A few more blogs haven't had a new post in several weeks. It is summer. I understand. Great news? Miss Rita Skeeter (borrowed from another blogger) has not sent any of the blogs I follow into hiding. :-P. That makes me very happy. I know I am not an abused wife. Dragon would never hurt me. Anyone who honestly reads my blog can see that. Our story is one of love and commitment. It hasn't always been easy but we are determined not to give up. Thanks for staying. We are part of a community. We need to stick together.

  1. I get concerned when I don't here from some bloggers in a while. I know this is awful, but I always wonder what happened to them. Did they gat seriously hurt (or killed) in an accident? If so, we may never know. I was chatting with a fellow blogger about this and she suggested I write a good bye post and schedule it for the future. That way if something happens, the community will know something, not just be left guessing. Of course of have to remember to keep moving it out so it doesn't post when it's not supposed to.

    I'm glad you're here and are staying. :) I hope,this mess hasn't affected you.

    1. There are several bloggers I worry about. I haven't heard from them in months.

Knock on wood that this mess doesn't affect my little blog. But I do moderate all posts. That should take care of any problems.

  2. rose, i SO agree with you. i pulled my blog then realized that no one was after me. i think that we just have a gut reaction to PROTECT and like most girlies do, we overreact. at least i did. we so need to stick together and i'm glad you're here right where i can find you.

plus, there's some easy steps to pull your blog from the main searches WITHOUT going private. i added the tutorials to my blog today so you check if you are worried, but you probably are not. :)

    good for you, friend,
    m.

    1. Maryanna, I think I will go ahead and pull my blog off of the search engines for now but leave it public. That is a good idea.

      Thanks for sticking around!

    1. When I saw her called that on another blogger, I remembered that quick quotes quill. The name fits perfectly.

  5. It is the way of things--so many new blogs don't stay but right now the ones that are disappearing may come back so don't give up on them too soon.

    Rita Skeeter...heh. :)

    1. I give them over a year before considering them. Delete is accepting defeat. I don't like doing it. Some blogs I keep around just because. Like B'man and sugarann. They said goodbye but I still love their blog.

  6. There goes one blog. Mike and Lynda are down. I hate to see them go private.

  7. Many CDD bloggers are probably being approached by curious folk given the most recent articles in Jezebel and The Daily Beast. I am merely a socially curious person who has many dear friends in fundamentalist Christian groups whose ideas of marital submission are mainstream, compared to those who practise CDD. As someone from outside either circle, I must say that the commitment to the idea of submission is more pure CDD circles, in my opinion. Although I have my criticisms, and would never incorporate such practises in my own life, I would like to commend you for being much more honest about the sexual nature of your lifestyle choice than many others have been. I know you don't need the affirmations of a secular vanilla lady such as myself, but as a budding sociologist on a mission to understand this movement, I have seen a much happier, more expressive and fulfilling tone from each blogger who is unabashed in her sexuality and how it fits into marital discipline. I am sorry to see that some blogs in your community are going the way of the dinosaurs. Subcultures need support, and as I have found that the overwhelming majority of CDD bloggers are women, I encourage you to continue in your work, and reach out to those ladies who may not have the same fulfillment as you. It seems to me that CDD sexuality is "in the closet" for many. I could be wrong, and hope I haven't caused any offense. This was meant as a compliment!

    1. I don't combine my faith with DD. The Bible is silent on the issue. Sexuality is a taboo subject and it shouldn't be. It is a huge part of a healthy marriage. Personally, I can't talk about spanking and not mention sex. They go together.

Thank you for stopping by and for not putting a sticky label on my lifestyle. Not many vanilla people have an open mind.

  8. A comment was lost in black pit of blogger malfunction. I am so sorry. I was trying to post a comment and say thank you. Please forgive me for the lost comment. I wasn't being ugly or trying to ignore you. :(

    1. My husband still calls me little missie. I had to change the name of my blog. Followers from another blog started harassing me. I didn't go away. Just got away from a bunch of snobby know it alls. Sorry about that.

But hey, you are back. :-) I take care of spammers with that nifty moderate all button. Works like a charm. Lol. I'm not going anywhere
