Yep it happens... life gets in the way of all things fun.
When Dragon is working 10-16 hour days, he comes home tired. I have his plate fixed and the bed turned down. No spanking, not much talk. Just quiet time together before we both turn in after a long day. I treasure that quiet time. It happens even on days he gets home at a reasonable hour. Holding hands, watching the sunset or just sitting close together.
Three times this week he had planned to spank. Three times life got in the way. The good part? My spanko is back! ! ! He planned to do the deed. Sunday, we were both tired. Monday, he didn't get home until almost midnight. Tuesday, I fell asleep before he came to bed and that wasn't the only problem Tuesday! The kids found a copper head out by the door we use to get to the garage. The good part is that they aren't aggressive snakes but I still don't want to take my chances.
We use that door for a lot of things.
That is where the motorcycle is parked, where the lawnmower lives and where the garbage can sits. Yikes... I have to use that door and there is a snake living in the bushes! EEEKKKKK I will be buying a few sticky rat traps to put out there. If the traps don't get it, Dragon loaded the glock with rat shot. I don't have very much rat shot but I have enough to get one snake! The squirrel gun is handy too just in case. But I will have to load it.
I will get that snake one way or another. HATE HATE HATE snakes. I am terrified of spiders and I am even more afraid of snakes! Shivers. There is NO way Dragon will drag me off to the garage with that snake out there lurking in the bushes or even inside the garage. It could bite my buttt. Now that would be interesting to explain to the paramedics and ER doc.
NOT
So yes. All kinky fun and spanking activities are put on hold until I get that snake.
I am sad.
Then there is the snake that lives under the bath tub I still haven't caught and the one living in the flower bed under the tree. (but I think those are just chicken snakes.) Dragon will be bringing home more rat traps for me tonight. I don't want the sheriff out here investigating gun shots unless I have to.
You may be able to call your local wildlife center. Most centers have pest animal removal and relocation services at no cost. We have a couple in our area and they do.
ReplyDelete*shudders* I don't think I could ever take a bath with a snake living under the tub!
The problem isn't a shower. I am afraid to use the toilet. When it is bumping around under there, I hold it.
DeleteI have someone to call but only for the one under the tub. I am just waiting to be sure it is there. A false alarm would be embarrassing
I was going to suggest a wildlife center too. I know when I lived in CA I had to call Animal Control or something to get a snake.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. I don't mind the black ones but any others scare the heck out of me because I have no idea what they are or what they can do.
The little green garden snakes don't bother me but the rest sure do. I have a few mouse traps set where it is likely to crawl and I should have sticky traps.
DeleteAlways something at my house. Today it is a dead skunk. I guess that is what we get for living in the country.
Ewwwwwe!!!! I hate snakes so unbelievably much!!!! I'm so sorry!!!! This is making my butt pucker. YUCK!!!!
ReplyDeleteWater snakes are one thing but any other snake is something else!
And you have one in the house!!! Move, I tell you, MOVE!!!! I'll come help you pack. Wait - no I won't. I hate snakes! ;)
Good luck. Please post soon that you've gotten rid of all snakes, please!!!!
I hope to post good news soon. Dragon thought I couldn't trap snakes with sticky traps. I had to prove him wrong. Now he knows they work?
DeleteAwwwwwww, but living in the country. *content sigh*
ReplyDeleteI like the city dwelling snakes even less. The two footed variety. Love the space and the quite. No way would I move to the city
DeleteI don't have an issue removing wildlife here. Somebody's gotta do it and I can help neighbors too. Even a raccoon once lol. We had a snake leaving skin in the yard then garage so I knew he was in there. You could see he was just a rat snake though, although the biggest I've seen. Finally sent him on his way last week - hubby did it all by himself and didn't even scream to sell the house sell the boat sell the mower.
ReplyDeleteI seriously draw the line at those copperheads though! Bullet, mower, truck... anything. Cannot have that lurking around!
I have chased multiple birds and squirrels out of the house. No problem. I walk the dogs after dark because the kids are afraid of the coyotes. No problem. Copper head? HUGE PROBLEM.
DeleteI have a distinctive snake squeal. I am sure that the entire county will know when I find that critter.
It can die in the traps or from lead poisoning. Not picky at all. Either method is fine with me.
Snake traps are set and I finally got my bottom warmed. Dragon had to prove that the garage was snake free before I gave my consent
ReplyDeleteoooooh. My husband caught a baby rattler in front of our house a few weeks ago. He put it in the refrigerator to chill it out before he drove it out to the desert to release. I wanted NO PART of that activity!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe only snake I will release is a little green garden snake. My husband would release a king snake. Rattle snakes are killed. I would be too afraid to do anything else. Eeek.
DeleteOmg! Omg! Omg! I would be freaking out! I don't like garden snakes, or any kind of snakes! I don't even like worms! Hope you get rid of them soon...and congrats on the bottom warming! ")

No hits on the traps yet. I check them several times a day. And I did most definitely freak out. The girls found the snake when I was on a date with Dragon.
